It's been a month since I had some ice cream. I figured that I had a lot of calories left in my day and if I rode to the ice cream place I would earn a small dish.

I learned a couple of things.

First, if you walk into the center of the Woodstock square, get tired of clomping around in bike shoes, saddle up, and coast out of the square, an old man will follow you out of the park and give you a stern talking to about the park being a "walking only zone!"

Second, if you roll over a railroad crossing, it's possible you will blow your rear tire. I almost left the house without my bag that had my spares in it.

Here are some shots from the ride. You may recognize some of the landmarks from the movie Groundhog Day.

Looks like a nice place, and it sounds like you had a great ride. Mid-ride iced cream can be a fantastic treat. :D

Ah, that's what old people do. I find myself becoming more and more like that as I age - can't wait till I can be totally crabby in public and get away with it. :D

Is that a cell phone case on your stem?

It's this: http://decide2ride.com/product_info.php?products_id=595

I love it. I put my iPhone in there and run Strava (I may be changing to Endomondo, not sure yet) and also listen to music through the speaker. I haven't had to ride in the rain yet, but it protects the phone from rain. Also, it's got a big space for other things. I can fit my wallet, keys, and other stuff that I need up there too.

That is a nice looking bike the way you have it set up. Congrats. Loved the movie Ground Hog Day! What a hoot. Congrats on a good day. Stupid RR track crossing!

HEY-your little green friend is supposed to return to Area 51, they have been looking for him!

Funny, I ordered it from the Little A "le" Inn which isn't far from Area 51. I wonder if on some planet light years from here a being is drinking it's zwarg (or whatever) from a mug shaped like my head.

love the pics and love the defy. I have one too!

Do you find the straps you use for the pump scrape up your legs, etc? I had that issue so I mounted it under the rack in the back. I love it!
