General Cycling Discussion - where does nashbar get frames made?

I've heard that they were manufactured in Japan is there any truth to this? If so Fuji? Who else make em in Japan? Who stills rides a 7000r road bike?

I doubt their frames are made in Japan. China or Taiwan, most likely. Japanese frames would be too expensive.

FYI, Fuji frames (at least the ones in the US) are no longer made in Japan - they come from Taiwan or China. Which is also likely to be the source of the Nashbar frames.....

I've heard that Bianchi bikes grouped with shimano parts are made in china now and campy grouped bikes will still be made in Italy..

The Touring Frame, which I own, is made in China.

I'm not sure about the Road and MTB frames.

U.S. law requires that imported products have the "country of origin" marked on the product. When the product is made in the USA, that identification is usually large, and attached in a permanent manner. Many products made in communist China use tiny adhesive stickers, using adhesive that tends to "accidently" cause the label to fall off. So, if you see a bike or bike frame and don't find ANY clue as to the nation of origin, a good bet is that your are looking at a communist made product.

Bike related products made in Japan currently tend to be both rare and expensive in the USA. Rivendell buys frames from a small, family operated shop in Japan, as well as stems and bars from the Nitto company in Japan. High quality. High prices.
