It's good to see this happening. Looks like they are pre-empting the USPCC, as there are sure to be people that want to "ride like the pros" and use that route into Boulder

I rode on that one fine April 2012 afternoon. HOLY **** I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE! I am soooo glad to see this happening! I rode from my doorstep in uptown Denver to Pearl Street, Boulder. I took the Cherry creek trail to 32nd ave, 32nd ave to McIntyre, McIntyre to 64th, 64th to 93.

Happy to see this. That's an unsafe road for cyclists yet it is a good direct route to Boulder. Now it can be both.

So that's what they were doing there when I was coming back from Boulder.

Quite pleased they are doing this. I normally just go south on the 93 now from 128. Since they paved it and put in a decent shoulder it isn't bad. The occasional weekend ride to the Boulder farmer's market can be a little terrifying though..

She lied to me!
The ex-GF told me 93 had paved shoulders from 128 South to Golden. So I headed down this morning to do Lookout Mt. There I am cruising along enjoying the wide, smooth lane when...ACK!

There is a 2 mile stretch where the paved shoulder is still ripped out and there is only deep, soft crushed rock /gravel. It is bad enough going South, but coming back heading North I was climbing a looong, steep hill so I got to "enjoy" it a lot longer.:(

Oddly, the Southbound lane is much wider than the Northbound. Heck, you could be running a rotating paceline heading South w/o ever crossing into the motor vehicle lane.:thumb:
