General Cycling Discussion - Waxing the boys...?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You know I was worried about clicking on this thread and I never should have done it.
If you are going to do it make sure you get the wax good and hot :D not that I know from expierence but I just think that if you are going to subject yourself to the pain you might as well go all out. :roflmao:
If you need to shave don't wax you are just asking for a world of hurt.
i wonder if they can just use one of them lasers to get the hair off permanantly.

If you are going to do that why don't you just remove them all together.
Think of the weight savings and added comfort in the saddle.

It would technically be possible, BUT it would hurt more than I can imagine. When waxing it is recommended that the skin be held very taunt, the skin is usually rather loose around them, which would make it a lot harder to acomplish & ALOT more painful.

Has anyone here ever done it? Is it even possible?

It's post like these that make me feel old. I hate shaving my face but do, could shave my legs but won't, and will not think about shaving the boys let alone do it. I can't imagine doing that. Way too much effort. Can I ask why??? I know many of the younger folks are into very little body hair but this might be going over the line. No?

Man, I am 20 years old, and I can't fathom doing that!!! I don't think age is the question, rather, sanity is!!! If you have ever gotten a clump of hair caught in the zipper, you get the amount of pain you are facing here. Only, the pain is spread over the entire region. I try to keep things trimmed and tidy, but waxing? OWWWW!!!

Shaving them is pretty easy. Waxing...only if you are angry at "your boys."

If I were you, I would just shave them. Or you can use NAIR. A hair removal product for women. I don't think you'll enjoy it though.
Be sure to NOT inform me how this turns out. :-)

Hell, scrub forest...
Wax only if you can afford to have a professional do a Brazilian wax job on you. Do not use depilatories unless you like roasted nuts. Shaving is probably your best option.

The boys. The two sensitive fellas that ride inside your bike shorts.
ok Bob... either I'm going to give you credit for trying to liven things up, or have to write you off as a total nutcase (no pun intended)
can you shed some light on your motivations for wanting to even ask something so painfully weird?

How 'bout weight nuts?

My girlfriend likes them smooth but I really hate shaving and I hated Nair even more. So I am looking for an alternative method.
After giving this a lot of thought I've decided that if the women(GF,SO,Wife) likes it then let her have it her way. This with the hopes that she will spend a lot of free time there.
The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

Try it, you won't go back. ;)
Just shows what wusses guys really are. That women think nothing of waxing to go naked down there, and men can't get over the perceived pain factor.
By the way, yes, the itch after shaving is an inhibiting factor ... especially for bike riding. Depalination by wax or Nair probably would be better. I'm just too lazy to go through the routine every week or fortnight or whatever.
If you like the feeling of hairless legs, then it only needs a bit of tidy-up work further up. Even better to get a partner to help, I'd reckon... see how much trust there is in the relationship :D
If you wanna know what it's like, try putting a piece of duct tape on your boys, then rip it off.

That women think nothing of waxing to go naked down there, and men can't get over the perceived pain factor.Waxing a flat area is FAR easier than waxing a rounded area. Furthermore, waxing a taut, firm area is FAR easier than waxing loose skin; they tell you to stretch the skin for a reason.
I'm not saying a bikini wax is a walk in the park; how the hell would I know anyways? But my educated guess says waxing your sack is going to be a painful exercise.
Just shave. It isn't hard, and in the end, it'll be just a smooth. WARNING: do this and you will not want to go back.
