I was debating on doing a tour from Pennsylvania down to Texas some day. Maybe in a couple years when I finish college.

Anyone done something like this? Know any good routes?

The Blue Ridge Parkway and the Natchez Trace come to mind for parts of a route.

Someone posted an excellent journal from Washington DC to New Orleans LA which is pretty close to a PA to Texas route at

That should cover most of your route.

I guess it also depends on what part of Texas you are going to considering the state is larger than most nations in Europe.

i haven't ridden it, but I have driven it... Ditto on the Natchez Trace... it's sooo beautiful. Amazing.
