Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Rolltop recommendations?

been looking for a double strapped bag, and digging the whole roll top idea. Messenger bag is kind of a hassle when traveling and stuff. I'm looking for something that would be big enough to say hold a couple changes of clothes andthensome.

Been looking at mission workshop stuff, it looks amazing, but is extremely pricey(largest roll top is $210 with 2,200 cubic inches), and for less than half the price i can get the banjo brothers large commuter(2,000) cubic inches. I;ve looked at the usual Timbuk2/chrome/blaq/missionworkshop/banjo brothers, but im sure there's a couple other brands out there that i havent heard of.

Any recommendations/firsthand experience with these bags or any others? Looking for something that can withstand the bike/school/weekend traveler with the occasional week or month long travel. Waterproof is a definite must(constantly carrying DSLRs/laptop/other electronics). Cordura preferred, looking for something pretty bomb proof. Ideal budget would be something around $150. Thanks in advance for any input :)

I'm going with Mission Workshop when I need a new backpack. Lifetime warranty and made in the US.

Citygrounds had a sale that knocks off 20%, might still be going now. I heard MW has a sale maybe once a year too.

T-Level is really good and made of cordura. it has a nice extender on the rolltop for taller items or stacked up storage. It's got great features, put it up there with MWS and more flexible and useable for certain uses.

MWS is good investment, imo. The material is really water proof and your stuff won't get wet. Key also, waterproof zippers.

the t-level looks perfect... thats price tag though... >.<

Ortleib makes a decent one, Trash Bags is pretty awesome, and if you can catch a sale, MW is amazing.

i like my chrome messenger, its most definitely waterproof and ive eaten sh*t and landed on it and slid for a few feet, still waterproof and good to go

i can only assume their rolltop bags are constructed of the same caliber, however they arent super cheap either - my messenger was $120 i believe (gift)

Not roll tops but they do more than getting the job done. They're made overseas (not that that means too much) but they're sturdy as all hell. Tons of commuters in Minneapolis use them.

I am fond of JANDD mountaineering gear. I used their panniers for commuting when I didn't own a car for about a 5 year period. Nebraska winters & summers, they never failed to keep my crap dry & organized.

1.61 bags, he hand makes them in Downtown L.A. made out of military spec materials. Hands down the best bag I've used.

anybody with personal experience with the pawn or the especial tres? those seem like my two options so far, any other companies? so many of these would be awesome, but are out of budget >.<

I am borrowing jdg's All City. It is nice and cheap. I think I might get a MW, though, so I can be a cool kid.

The timbuk2 looks the neatest out of most rolltops though, I would love to give you a review of it but I'm not going to need another bag for a while.

Been using a MW Fitzroy for a month now...can't say enough good things about...so worth the price.
