I recently bought a trekking handlebar for my wife/s bike, a Humpert Contest-Comfort from xxycle (here) (http://www.xxcycle.com/guidon-multifonction-contest-comfort-humpert-aluminium-argen,,en.php)
The specs on this handlebar are 570m wide by 150mm deep by 42mm rise.
I am trying to buy a similar handlebar for my bike, except black. I could buy the exact same bar from xxcycle, but would rather not have to wait the unreasonable amount of time they take to ship to the states (mine took over 2 weeks, and I have heard most others have the same experience). I have seen some handlebars available in the statues: BBB makes one, XLC makes one, Nashbar makes one.
The only problem, is, I need at least the 42mm rise that my wifes handlebar has. I put her handlebar on my bike, and it is about where I would want it. I could live with slightly less, and I could move the stem down if I had slightly more, but none of the handlebar manufacturers list the dimensions on their bars!!
So if anyone has a black trekking handlebar with a pretty decent rise (around 42mm, or 1.5inches) please recommend it. I am in the process of emailing manufacturers to get the specs on their bars, but figured to post here since I don't know how successful that would be
