That doesn't work. On mythbusters they tried a bunch of remedies. The only one that worked was
1 quart of hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup of baking soda
2 tbl of liquid soap

well..then use that.
a little reading up yeilds the info that the smelly stuff is based on Thiols (sulfur compounds) and that oxidizing them to sulfonic acid is the way to get rid of the odiferous issue.
Might want to try Oxyclean too.

I can vouch for the peroxide/baking soda/dish soap concoction. It works like a charm. There were four baby skunks in our yard the other day. Cute little fellers. They can stay there for all I care. If Mabel gets too friendly with them she will get the treatment. No big deal.
