Its in rough shape. I need help on the drive system... as it looks like it was "repaired" with a stick welder. I ordered a new hub for it, but i have to get a second sprocket i think. http://www.sturmey-archer.com/products/hubs/cid/6/id/46 i ordered that hub... yes coaster and reverse gear... I have also been thinking of replacing the back axle with a go cart dif maybe. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_35768_35768

but the gearing is still kinda baffling me.

Info, or ideas welcome, i have been lurking looking for info with the search but its a little tricky finding what im looking for.

thanks
rob

I own a Worksman PAV with a 3 speed. To find what you need to convert you Mover trike go here. http://worksmancycles.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/page24.html

The hubs are standard hubs modified by welding on a set of sprocket teeth otherwise they are the same as for a bicycle.

Love a good project. thats why im diggin my heals in... few more things coming up on this build in the next few weeks. I will try to keep this updated for you guys.

yea thats what i figure... im thinking of getting some special gearing put in... if nothing else i will order one , and hide out in my buddies shop till hes not looking and crank on the machines...

Pictures of a standard setup on a worksman would be helpful.

honestly the front crank is fine... the back drive train... some of the sprockets seam to be sawtoothing , generally out of sync. after its in the air ill be able to drop it all and try to figure out which ill need to order and which i can clean up. I think i might just be better off ordering new chains.

Tomorrow is bike stand building day... As i apparently don't like light weight bikes , so im going to mound a couple vices to an engine stand. at least this time... next time maybe it will get a few upgrades

Ill take pics if i get time.

Really cool project! Would give my right arm (or you could at least borrow it..) for that trike!

For sure something is wrong in the third picture, the chainline in the third picture is not straight.

Did you try posting (or searching for trikes) in the forum for "Alt Bike Culture"?http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php/225-Alt-Bike-Culture

Also I would look into the AtomicZombie site http://www.atomiczombie.com/ or Ratrod Bikes http://ratrodbikes.com Maybe you can pick something up. Plse keep us informed!

You can see that the coaster brake is not parallel with the rear axel. It looks like this is because the "drop out" that holds the brake on right is bent outwards. You'll probably have to find a way to straighten that out in order to get a decent chain line.

Well the project hasn't stopped. parts are making there way slowly as funding is slow. but its slowly making it. It looks like a good couple of weeks before i finish the first stage of the drive train.

The coaster brake. is oddly one of the very very few problems and was a symptom of other things. I will have to cut this axle out and replace as. the cogs are welded on now. the drive axle are also improper for the chain line. also the "drop out" needs more tweaking to fit a more modern hub.

Once i get her turning circles and her parts arn't on a shelf ill post some more pictures.

thanks guys.
