Foo - Roadie drama

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So, I was driving across town just now. Two roadies run a red light right in front of me. I could see it coming a mile off, so I adjusted accordingly. Then the idiots pass me on the inside as I'm turning right. I didn't hit them, but it was only pure luck that I didn't, I saw them at the last second in my mirror.

I've seen very experienced friends scoff traffic laws. Such poor ambassadors.
I blame the Tour de France and running.
I accidentally read the thread title as "roadie diarrhea"

I blame the 41 and I blame crabon fribe and I blame hair gel and most of all I blame roadies.
Today I passed by a guy on a full TT bike riding salmon and a foot off of the yellow line. As oncoming traffic came he would veer into the opposite lane (now traveling correctly with traffic) and almost come to a stop while the cars passed, and then weave back into the wrong lane and proceed to salmon on along.

You hardly ever see anyone with a lugged steel frame, full fenders, and generator lights doin' this. Just sayin'.

... so why didn't you just run him over? No jury in the world would convict you.
I blame GWB ;)

Poseur who just bought a new bike by the look of him. Gym shorts, UGA cotton t-shirt, look SPDs.

I blame the American education system, in particular, drivers ed.
and....
Improperly sized kits, if they're too tight, they cut off circulation to the brain.

I agree. An American driver would have squished them. Lucky for them that I am a superior English driver, our driving test is actually a challenge.
