OMG,
I just bought a cool Dura Ace WH 7801 wheelset 10 speed. I have scram and ultrega 9 speeds. Every wheel I have ever bought works for 8/9/10 . But I reading in this forum and I saw that only a 10 speed cassette will work with this wheel? I am I hosed?

Yeah, sorry. 7801 is 10-Speed only.

Yeah, sorry. 10-speed only but there are a few workarounds. See this recent thread: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/829447-Why-doesn-t-my-Shimano-9sp-cassette-fit-on-this-hub

Oh boy, it's always something! I am in my middle 60's I always thought 8/9/10 cassettes were interchangeable, maybe a spacer, but not different sizing??? But with this wheel they are not (alum). Now I am like so totally confused???? Does this mean that any 10 speed cassette has different splines than 8/9. Or do I have to have a "special" 10 speed cassette for 7801? Is there a particular 10 speed cassette that's different than the 'normal' cassette.
Lordie! I going flame shimano for tricking an old man.
Here is a 10 speed cassette I like: SHIMANO TIAGRA CS4600 12-30 10 Speed Bike Cassette fits SRAM DuraAce. Will this work?
Hey thank you!!
