General Cycling Discussion - looking for a lightweight white jersey that doubles as a normal undershirt

I bike at work during my lunch and smoke break

I work in a law office and wear a button down white dress shirt over a white undershirt

This summer I have been changing into a poly jersey or run shirt under my regular shirt before rides. I remove the regular shirt oustide the office when I get on my bike. Picture clark kent becoming superman.
This looks a bit odd as my bike shirts are blue or yellow instead of my normal white undershirt, and I am trying to keep a low profile.

Therefore I am looking for a light weight all white short sleeve bike jersey. Would prefer back pockets and must be comfortable enough to wear all day.
I would like lightweight wool but don't mind poly as long as it is comfortable

I'm having a hard time finding something in all white

any ideas?

I have a Nashbar jersey that is all white, but it has their stylized "N" log on the chest, which might show through a dress shirt. Performance bike makes their "Tech Tee" in a very light grey color. Almost a white, with a non-contrasting logo.

Wouldn't it be problematic to come back to work and wear sweaty clothes the rest of the day anyway?

I think my opinion might illustrate why you can't find any plain all-white jerseys...

I would hate to wear anything over a jersey's rear pockets. It's bad enough that guys these days wear their office shirts billowing out in back like clown suits (nobody knows about shirtstays, aka "shirt-to-sock suspenders", anymore), but jersey pockets would make it worse. Plus, if it fits right for the bike, the tail will hang low when standing, and either go under your belt or help bulk up the billowing lower back of your dress shirt.

I would also feel nasty all day if I wore the same sweaty undershirt, even if it was a plain tech shirt with no pockets. I always change clothes (but then again, I've got a uniform and a big locker, so that's not necessarily a fair comparison with most people).

The tech-y white undershirts I use at work are Under Armour and Champion (got the Champion shirts from Target). The UA logo can be right under the breast pocket, so it's not too bad. The Champion logos are reflective light gray, so they don't show through very much at all. They're all a compression fit, too, and cause less friction against dress shirts, so they're more comfy overall, IMO.

But, again, I avoid wearing these all day if I can help it.

You're removng your shirt when you get outside, why not just CHANGE when you're outside. Maybe....that undershirt will sit nicely next to your dress shirt while you ride.

To better explain:
I was changing into a yellow or blue jersey under a white dress shirt, taking off the dress shirt to ride, then changing back to a regular white cotton undershirt. No smell thanks to purell and baby powder.

What I plan to do is wear a white jersey under dress shirt, bike, change into regular undershirt if needed.

No rear pockets, but Patagonia Capiline silk weight T's are nice.

If you get organized you can change out of your work clothes and into your bike clothes in about 3 minutes. Why not just do that. I coldn't imagine wearing a cycling jersey with rear pockets and a front zipper, and a collar under a dress shirt and still expect to feel and look decent.
