I got this somewhat interesting nicely lugged chrom-mo frame for free and built it up. I have no clue of it's origin or who made it. It has nicely thinned pointy lugs, a Italian BB, 26.0 seat post and is 56cm center to center with a 56 cm top tube. The paint job has thourghly drewed fairly sure it was originaly a light red or pink metalic and grey two tone originaly. No identifiable markings or serial number. Very light only about 21lbs as set up. Currently set up with a six speed Suntour accushift drive train works nicely in index and friction modes. Fairly nice Mavic Open 4 CD wheelset. Any ideas as to what this was originally or likely value would be appreciated.

Are you 100% on the BB threading? I'm really getting a Japanese vibe from this. Would guess '85-ish on the year.

I'm pretty sure on the BB it isn't marked but it isn't standard I found this out when I tried to put a newer sealed one in today. So I just rebuilt the one it had since the frame is mid 80's I can't see it being anything other than Italian. I should probably also mention that none of the parts are original except for maybe the shifter and RD.

If there is any chance of the BB being english, I have a late 80s giant rx930 that looks just like that and has the filled in driveside dropout. I know nishikis had that dropout treatment as well. Neither are italian threaded though.

I will double check the BB later today when I get a chance. I know the bike isn't a Nishiki I checked for where the serial number and markings would be on a mid 80's Nishiki.
