From downtown to Oceanside, what are some good places to pull over and refill?

I don't want to leave the bike unattended if possible. I've never looked too closely at the state parks, do they have water fountains?

Cheers and happy riding,
Steve

Bottom of Torrey Pines, at the paid parking lot.
Encinitas, right where you drop down from Solana Beach. West side of 101.
Both also have restrooms.

There is a park near the old powerhouse in Del Mar, and the park above Swami's have water fountains, I believe.

Just about every public beach will have restrooms and water. Be paranoid and take your bike in the restrooms, though...theft is common along the coast.

Call me snooty, but I fill up with good-tasting water from the water machines, which can be found all along the coast route at nearly every gas station or liquor store. Something about combining our "mineral" tap water, a hot day, and plastic bottles just make it taste horrible.

The Poinsettia Coaster train station has drinking fountains, if I remember correctly. And the restrooms are open on Saturdays, too.

Tecolote Shores along East Mission Bay Dr, and a number of places all the way to De Anza Cove.

UCSD should have public water fountains, I just haven't looked.

Once you get into Del Mar, you will have lots and LOTS of places to refill. All the beach parks will have water fountains, and lots of stores/Starbucks/etc along the way.
