This might be old news to some, but it took me by surprise. Pletscher has redesigned their one legged kickstand (http://simplecycle-marc.blogspot.com/2012/07/pletscher-zoom-kick-stand.html). It feels lighter, looks better, seems a lot more stable and is totally adjustable without cutting.

I suppose if both set screws fell out, that could happen. There is always locktite.

If yours lasts long enough to get to C&V status, I'll get one ;)



I'm more worried about the plastic getting brittle and breaking. Probably more of an issue in Texas than Michigan.

I think the temperature variation in Michigan will be a bigger test, but don't see a problem. We'll both be gone before the CV crowd accepts a new kickstand!

They ship with Nyloc nuts. to not shake loose..

the real plus is you can make them longer later.

cannot do that after sawing The other sorts off, short.
