Sooooo, A few weeks ago i posted about going to look at 2 bikes the:

Ridgeback flight 05

and

Kona Jake.

Sometime last week i went to the guys house and had a look at the bikes. at first he brought out the Ridgeback and i took it for a ride and immediately fell in love. It was smooth, perfect height and lightweight.

After taking it for a spin, I didn't bother look at the Jake, It was a bit smaller and the tyres wasn't so great on them. So i agreed and shook hands with seller and departed with the bike.

Since I've been online non stop looking for bits and bobs for the bike. I bought a lock, mudguards, spare tubes etc, and my g.f bought me a cycle computer :) (a bit keen lol).

This week i rode to and from work, to my g.f's house and out when i have to run errands I'm very pleased with the purchase. I have a few other commuters at work also who said the bike was really good buy and has a good spec for the price paid, so i can't complain.

So now I am now part of the Commuting Community and LOVING IT!!!

(I bet your all eager to see lol)

Nice bike. You need fenders and a rack on there. :)

Nice choice.

Although you didn't ride Jake, I think you'll be happier with the disc brakes on your bike, versus the cantis on the Jake.

Beautiful bike. Pity my phone browser is messing up the big photos, will have to take a look again when I'm on the computer.

Whoa! I like that traditional looking frame. Nice rear triangle and mostly flat top bar. Sweeeeeeet!

Thanks guy :)

I got a clip on mudguard and a front 1 2nd hand for a fiver so couldn't complain. They seem to be working well in the great english weather.

And the disk brakes are definately needed in the weather we've been having recently!! :/
