Yeah I ride an NYCbike.

Comments:

Will <the owner> is great. Really helpful and listened to me and my needs and was very honest and stright up with me.

Its cheap. Don't expect too much and you'll be fine.

I had issues with the build. The chain on there was too short and the guys at the shop wouldn't listen to me about it. It took alot of tweaking by someone else to get this rig to run smooth.

The frame and the fork are great for the price. The wheels left something to be desired. The rim are OK but open pros are a good upgrade. Will got me a sweet deal on the hubs.

Honestly you may be better off going out and getting a used rig in good shape. Unless you just want this for the frame and fork and you want to do your own build.

I bought their cross frame on Ebay, and built it up myself (not for cross racing). I bought it because it was cheap, and I'm not sure whether I regret it or not. I'd prefer a good steel cross frame, but dough is lacking, and lightweight is nice.

It has some issues:
-sloppy welding
-non-integrated derailleur hanger
-Kickstand mount (!?!) makes rear wheel difficult to remove
-not as light as I wanted it to be
-teardrop downtube makes u-locks a bit difficult

that said, I like my bike, but the frame is what I like least. I'd say that its a good commuter frame. Just be sure to put a steel fork on there.

I just got finished building up a NYC Bikes cross frame. I got the frame and a jammin' chrome fork from them. After some torturous decisions about how to build it up, I can say I am extremely satisfied with it. It rides great and weighs less than 24lbs! And I didn't go for top of the line parts by any means. For under $150 I couldn't find a smarter-looking new frame. (used on EBay is a whole nuther ball o wax -- I got a mid-90'2 Cannondale road frame w/126mm spacing for $35!!!). Anyway, I don't know how the ones they build up compare, but the frame is really sharp looking.

b/t/w, I agree with the previous post -- what is up with the welded on kickstand mount. tard-o-rific.
