Southern California - Coyote Creek trail construction - any idea?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I guess technically it's North Fork, not Coyote Creek, but it extends the bike path from SGRT to Foster Rd in La Mirada.

I found this document - http://www.rmc.ca.gov/plans/coyote_ck_bikeway_plan/Coyote6-26-FINAL_DOC.pdf

It seems like there are a lot of great upgrades coming to this area, including extending the path over to Brea.

Anyway, I hopped on Coyote Creek from Foster Rd last night for a little spin and the creek path is still closed at Alondra (same spot it was closed at 3 months ago, what up LA?) Do any of you know what the time table is for this path's completion? I don't use it very often but it is convenient in an otherwise pretty industrial area.

It's closed due to the I-5 improvement project that spans the trail. I believe the completion date for that project is sometime in 2014 so I don't anticipate the trail being reopened before then.

Ah, well that explains it. I thought it was a path improvement like they did on the SGRT. Matter of fact, they did repave the lower section down by the SGRT. Thanks.
