Too bad he's on a team full of jackarses. Did you see that Kloden move? Right by Zubeldia, 5th on GC. What a turd.

Zubeldia was dropped from the front group, Kloden was behind because he needed a wheel. Got the wheel, chugged right back to the group, without even looking at Zubeldia as he went by. No effort to pace him up, and help save his 5th overall on GC. That Kloden...he's always been a shifty character to me.

No fuzzy feelings in RadioShak, but Kloden has usually been a pretty loyal follower.

Meh, are they still in the team race? Maybe they told him to stick with the front group if he could. #1 Team is better than #5 on GC I guess.

Every man for himself.

Considering that their main man Frank is out (and has been out of contention anyway), the team is under pressure and in disarray... I would have to 2nd guess any personal relationship between the two but from the little I've read, both Zubeldia and Kloden have fullfilled their assignements for many years and both (Kloden) a 37 yr old and (Zubeldia) as 35 yr old have not many yrs left to run...

Every man for himself.

Too bad that's not Sky's policy...

It was interesting, the Horner interview after yesterday's stage 17. The commentators talked about the wattage that is just below his threshold and that appears to be 375. Otherwise he would blow up, after extended time in the 400's. He wasn't willing to do that. For good reasons as he explained in the interview.

That interview was simply his honest comments completely without reservations. I call him Honest Horner.

RSN needed to save the team classification, and probably thats why he did not wait. They needed him as high as possible in the the final line. Zubeldia was just dead, and if they needed 3 guys in the top quick the only way was just letting zubeldia behind. IMO that was the reason he left him behind.

Zubeldia (along with Monfort) finished tied for 3rd for RSN.

I didn't notice, but maybe Monfort was already on his way to help. It might make sense as he isn't as well placed and so they wouldn't loose another top spot if they didn't make it back on. As it was they still finished 21-22nd.

21 and 22 is not bad considering the darn stage... horner was talking about the problem when he noticed that kloden flat, he did not know what to do because if he was going back to pick up the guys they could have been even more affected for the times... and is the 3rd that makes the final time he kin'da gambled and stay with the main group.
