I like to watch videos of the NBC coverage of the Hawaii Ironman while I'm on my trainer. I have several years, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2003, and 2004. I'd like to add another year or two, but I've noticed that NBC does a better job some years than others. I like good women's coverage, lots of race coverage, and a minimum of ancillary mush stories, and if they do have mush stories, I'd rather hear about athletes than celebrities.
I'm looking at 1998, 1999 or 2002. Has anyone seen the coverage these years that can make a recommendation? Is there another year that is someone's favorite?
My favorites are 1995 and 1996. I'd love to get my hands on 1989, but I guess ABC covered it then, and I can't seem to find any footage.
