This is the place to post your shortcomings in having guts, making poor race decisions, quiting efforts/intervals, or just general self loathing. Most all of us have taken the easy way out when things got difficult only to regret the decision later. So you can post here and we will provide the pity party or b**** slapping you deserve.

I'll start.

I need to HTFU because I almost always cut TT intervals short because they hurt and I convince myself that it's OK because I started out harder than was needed.

So Jet... one eff-up deserves another? Of course you know the answer to that one. But wait, let me provide the pity party: "you poor thing Jet. Tell us where it hurts."

But hey - is it hurting because you have a position problem, or because you are neglecting your TT work?

I think the latter prevents me from knowing about the first. I hate TT riding. I have to admit that on a few interval nights I took MTB out to the woods in lieu of pain and suffering.:o

I will admit that I rode the TT bike last night on an easy spin and made several adjustments to the seat that did seem to allow me to push over the top of the pedal stroke. I did sign up for the 5K and 10K TT's as part of this Thur and Fri State Senior Games cycling events. Depending on how the RR goes the first day I may do both TT's or skip the long 10K and ride the longish 5K on Friday after the RR.;)

Long? Longish? :roflmao2:

I'll be signing up for the Nevada games soon, and will have to decide whether to do all the events, or to focus on one distance of each - probably the 'long' race. ;)

We all do, yet none of us do. It's a paradox. HTFU and keep showing up at the start line.

TT's and riding the TT bike is like starting to exercise after sitting on the couch for years. It's sucks for a while. But if you stick it out until you find a groove, it's pretty cool stuff.

And if you need a harden up picture:
