I'm 6 foot and 306lbs and ride a Giant Escape. The only issue I've had so far is the pedals came apart on me. I replaced them with some alloys. My bike is fully equipped. It has fenders, a Wald 535 grocery basket, headlight and 3 taillights, bell, and I put a bar end mirror on yesterday. I'm living car free which is why I tricked mine out with a lot of accessories. All told it was $623. About $150 of that was accessories.

Welcome To Bike Forums, Mr. Grey!

Go with the Muirwoods!

It's chromoly steel, has a lower profile and wider tires than all the others. Everything you need for greater support. The lower profile renders a lower center of gravity. Mishaps will be easier to avoid, due to a greater sense of balance...

Any of those will be great bikes for you. Buy the one you find the prettiest or the one the "speaks" to you. it will be that one that just looking at it makes you want to go for a ride and the one that secretly talks you into riding when you dont want to.

I like the looks of the Raleigh. As a kid I would only ever ride Raleighs so perhaps thats why ;)
