Rode Larch Mountain today - a popular Portland, Oregon area climb. Weather was fantastic and cars were non-existant - it was so quiet out I could hear the bees and flys buzzing by me. It was my first time up and it was a pretty good climb - 4100' in 22.8 miles and a long descent back down. Got home and made myself an awesome sandwich with all the trimmings (rotisserie chicken, avocado, tomatoes, etc) and a big Vortex IPA in a frosty cold glass. Good times. Would have only been better with some friends.
Trip up - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/202783425 (10.8mph avg up)
Trip down - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/202783416 (26.8mph avg down)
And the best part - the meal!

Nice route! Congrats!
Would you mind giving me some info about your GPS setup? What device were you using and how did you get to upload it to garmin.com?
Thanks in advance.

Excellent. A feeling and accomplishment only bicyclists would understand. :thumb:

Was in Portland for 9 months in '76-'77. Have wanted to get back ever since, but never had the opportunity. That sounds like a great ride. May be visiting wife's nephew in Vancouver WA soon. I'll bring my bike.
