So how long everyone's Quarq batteries usually last? Mine wouldn't wake up Tues night and once I replaced the battery the Garmin instantly found it. I know I ride a lot but the last time I replaced it was sometime in mid-March and before it was the battery that came with it when I bought it in November. Just seems a little excessive to be going through them every 4 months when they should last 6?

My current battery was installed last August. I will replace mine in the next couple of weeks as preventive maintenance. My battery before that lasted almost a year as well. I put approximately 6,000 miles on the crankset a year.

3-4 months. also make sure you use Energizer as opposed to any other brand

My wife got about a year out of hers, but she didn't get much riding in over the winter.

Mine was still fine after about 8K miles, but when I changed it as a preventative measure, I started having problems. Turns out the contacts underneath the battery can compress. Customer service had me pry them back up a bit, and it has been golden since then. Those of you experiencing shorter battery life should check that out.

you guys don't have winters. Should tell her to htfu and "honor" her state champ's jersey by riding in the winter :p

but yes, the cold does drain batteries, also highly recommend the wahoo sensor if you have an ipod/phone/touch. whenver the battery level drops below 3V, the readings will start to be off and it's time to change things. i once hit 1000W by doing 9mph on a 4% hill when the battery was at 2.95V.

When I was riding 16 hours a week, 4 months seemed about right. Now I expect my battery to last two years. ;)

My quarq still manages to make it's way back to the factory in a regularly scheduled manner..

Dude, you'd drope me in a heart beat. Plus I'm not sure how much time I'll have with the new job, I've accepted that I may just be a weekend warrior and keeping my weekday workouts to things I can do in an hour or less (stadiums, running). When do you come back? We need to get caught up..

Do you use the wahoo sensor while riding or just indoors? The only reason i've seen for a wahoo adapter is to use quarq's tool to calibrate your crank. Is there other stuff you can use it for?
