Have some time off to do a mini bike tour? (self-supported) I want to take the train from Ramsey to Bayhead, NJ then bike south to Beach Haven, NJ & then back. Roughly thinking of taking 2 days there & back (at about C* pace, avg. 11-13mph, perhaps about 30-40 miles each day), one day to stay there, & one day traveling each way. Starting August 10th (Friday early eve., 5pm) & returning Thursday (8/16th) in early AM. Want to join me? Still exploring route options. Any recommendations? I'm looking forward to getting back into self-supported rides & to exploring the Jersey shore more. Email me privately if you want to discuss further details re: the ride. Thanks!

hey man, I'm living in Belmar NJ and have been thinking about taking a trip down to LBI and back to Belmar, I'm not ready for a century ride yet but im doing 25-30 miles comfortably at 17-20 mph and the distances your'e talking about comfortably 11-13. I've got a buddy with a house in LBI and might be able to make that the stopping point for the day, I start my senior year at Rutgers on wednesday september 5th. I've been lookin for some one to do a similar ride, if you're down let me know. You can find some of my maps on mapmyride.com under my same username.
