So after riding in northern wisconsin a few years ago I noticed that the coldest part of my body of my ride is my hands and feet. One night my feet got so cold I had to stop and warm up. Sence then I have used more socks about 3-4 pairs. So this year I'm thinking of making my own Shoe covers or of old tires and tubes. First I would start with making a laye that would fit around my shoe with the old tubes. I was thinking of making them to completely cover my shoes. I would make laces of course. As the second layer and if needed I would add extra protection by useing the thick tires. I would cut them up and add them with either expoxy*. I plan on starting this project tomarrow. I wondering if anyone has done anything similar to this and what you used and how you did it. I might even have enough to make some wind garuds for my hands or even fenders. I like to try to save money any way I can and this seems to be a great way to use old stuff that I would normaly just throw away or recycle. Thank you for reading. Ride on.
