I tired out track racing last season, had a blast but needed to end my season short. Picked it back up this year and as my fitness + time on track are coming around having a lot of fun. Been running a camera under my saddle for kicks, some of the videos are fun to watch post race. Here are a few from last week, I managed to win the Cat 4 omnium and got upgraded to Cat 3. Raced Cat 3 for the first time Friday night and realized how much I need to figure out.

These are from Marymoor Redmond Washington, it's a 400m track.

I had my camera lens off by 90' for these races, so I had to edit for rotation.

I have my parents Brit dry sense of humour, don't take any of the comments on the video's too seriously ;)

I hope you don't mind that I edited your post to embed your videos. I kept the links, too.

No worries, I was trying that last night but the pop up box to embed the video url was hanging.

Mr Crampy's, I'm much more of a Triathlete. Got into track a little bit last year as a means to get in interval work and bump my threshold up. Plus it's warmer, drier, and closer than Cyclocross :)

great videos and thanks for sharing! I'm the CycleU guy that excels at finishing 6th. Didn't realize you had a camera or I would have put on my best Tommy Voeckler face. Guess i'll need to cat up to see more

cheers, Travis

Ya, about Cat'ing up... I need to move my camera to the front of the bike to record action in Cat 3. Everybody is fast and all of the little mistakes get gobbled up....

Cat 3 6x5 from last Friday

Hey, thanks for posting the vids, I hopefully will start racing after the new year and this has give me some sort of insight of what the events are like. I thought there would be a rule/regulation specifying that cameras weren't allowed (one more thing to fall off the bike?). Anyway, watched them all and learned a fair bit, thank you!

I hear that there are a lot of people in GB who want to start track racing after this summer. :-)

Yes, local tracks may or may not have regulations on putting extra stuff like videos on the bike. Depends on the venue.
