Just got my new Sugino CBBF-103 bottom bracket, and am trying to figure out the correct torque spec for it. Park Tool gives a range of 435-608 in-lbs for cartridge type bottom brackets, but doesn't have anything specific for a Sugino. There was no documentation included with the BB, and I can't find anything on their website either. Anyone know what torque I should tighten these down to?

Both Shimano and Campy give recommended torque in the same range for their bottom brackets so it's safe to assume that value is correct.

That's still a pretty big range.

Yes it is. However, as long as you are above the lower end of it the cups will stay tight. They are big diameter threads so they can tolerate a pretty high torque without damage.

BTW, grease the threads on the bb and bb shell generously before installing it to seal out dirt, prevent galling and keep it quiet.
