I bought an SRAM i-Light dyno hub that was on super-sale because apparently nobody wants a 32h dynohub with disc brake lugs.
I'm using it with rim brakes and all has been well other than the fact that I don't like looking at the ugly disc lugs and cheap SRAM didn't include a rubber or plastic boot to cover them up should a disc not be used. I know some hubs come with such boots for this very purpose but, try as I might, I can't seem to find such an item separately. I've asked a few LBS's but they don't have any take-offs. They throw them away when they pull them off rather than saving them.
Does anyone have a source for these or maybe an alternate part that works fairly well from some other purpose? I've perused my local well-stocked automotive store and didn't see anything offhand that seems like it would work. Short of cutting down a plastic beer cup and bolting it over/onto the lugs I'm at a loss.
Or I could just forget about it and let the darn things spin in the breeze naked... I might be over-thinking this.
