I'm going to attempt to climb this thing tomorrow morning Wife and kids cooperating i should be starting no later than 8:00 am.

I will be staying in the park tonight and tomorrow night with family and am taking the bike because I want to at least attempt to climb a mountain.

As I recall that is a steep climb. I am not for sure, but was of the impression that the road going up is only for the guide bus, and the path up is only for foot traffic. It has been a while since I have been, and I could be confusing the place with the road up to BB.

It is extremely steep. And well i didn't make it all the way up. I didn't even make it halfway. I made it about 1/3 of the way and well i just ran out of steam. As i was getting ready to go up i saw three much younger and more fit riders making their decent. It was clear however that they had climbed the whole thing they looks a little spent. It's 1.2 miles and the signs on the road label it as 25% grade. Google maps Disagrees and says 12.3 %. All i can say is it was steep.

Next year. That mountain is mine!
