Hi everyone. I have an 2003 giant ac1 full suspension. I have looked on the rohloff site and several other sites to try and inform myself on which rolhoff speedhub will work on my bike. I even came across certain sites that state that the soeedhubs are not made for full suspension?? So which one for my bike before I purchase. Thanks in advance.

I don't know why a Rohloff hub wouldn't work with a full suspension, but you'll have to incorporate some sort of tensioner in the drivetrain to absorb the changes in chain length created by the suspension's movement. If you don't understand this, I suggest you seek out a bike shop experienced with internal-gear hub conversions.

+1 to what Jeff said and to be sure the cable is secured correctly so the cable doesn't move positions (shifting the hub) when the suspension goes up and down.

Be sure to match the Over-Locknut-Dimension of the hub with the Dropout spacing of the rear suspension bike you have and that the anti-rotation washers can work with the dropouts.

Any hub gear needs an anti rotation system. Shimano use a series of shaped washers. Rohloff provide several methods (http://www.rohloff.de/en/technology/workshop/inter_changeable_parts_system/index.html), the correct one depends on your dropouts and frame. The long anti-torque arm may be the one you need. This may have implications for the axle fixing: bolt or QR.
You may also need an external gear shift device to clear your disc brakes.
You need to seek out a shop with Rohloff expertise, eg Cycle Monkey. Most Rohloff users only have to deal with their own bike.
Take some clear, focused close up pics of the rear triangle of your bike (at least halfway along your chainstays), on the driveside and the non-driveside.

Just checking - you have used the Speedhub finder (http://www.rohloff.de/en/servicemenue/speedhub_finder/index.html) on the Rohloff website, yes?

The bike have Disc Brakes? OEM 2 anti rotation left end, fits over the lower disc ISO bolt.
yes you will need the chain tensioner, and likely the external shift box.
disc brake requirement.

and a 4 bolt disc.
