Hello all. Getting back into cycling for the first time in over 20 years. I practically lived on my bike as a kid, but grew out of it over time. I'm pretty overwhelmed at the sheer number of choices these days. Last time I bought a bike, it went like this: you went to your LBS and picked out a cruiser, a BMX, or a 10-speed. Anything else was special order, and far beyond the means of mere mortals.

First bike was a blue '78 Schwinn Sting-Ray, sold for $15 at a yard sale many years ago, which I'm regretting. "Upgraded" to a Huffy BMX in the mid 80s, then moved on to a Schwinn 10-speed. Just purchased a Giant Escape from my LBS and looking forward to absorbing all the knowledge contained on this forum!
