Hi all! I just recently discovered Bike Forums and have been busy reading and researching the wealth of information contained here.

I started biking in my teens on a Gary Fisher Mamba mountain bike. While I really enjoyed riding off road trails, it wasn't long before I started to discover how much I also enjoyed going longer distances on my rides as well. I regularly rode 20-30 miles and took my mountain bike on my first (and as yet only) century ride. I had a blast even though I wasn't able to finish the course before the support crew picked me up.

Fast forward about a decade, a marriage and four young kids later and I've started biking again, waking up early and going for my rides before the children wake up in the mornings. I'm hoping to do some touring and/or cross-state rides maybe next summer.

And I think that about sums it up for me. :)

Haha, well, right now I'm still riding the old Gary Fisher Mamba! I'm working on saving up for a touring bike, hopefully start of next year or so.
