Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I found a gentleman on CraigsList that posted as the the title "Bikes and Anitques" then just a phone number. So one thing led to another and I ended up out on his lot, only to discover that this place is a pickers dream. He has full restored 1940's cars, gas pumps, ceramic signs, and I could only imagine what he had in store as far as bikes goes. We make our way out to the containers and the first 2 were a bust - nothing but Kmart specials and newer kids bikes, so my hopes had diminished. Butg in the last box there were a few old cruisers, 2 old Le Tours (bad shape though), and some really old kids tricycles. It was really really dark in there, so my camera was having a hard time getting pictures. Here a few of what I snapped, and if anyone has any info on these I would greatly appericiate it!

Looks no better than the first two containers.

That's what I feared, I don't know the first thing about older cruisers, some looked ancient and I thought it was worth a shot.

Did you see I sold my Katakura?

Yeah, if it fit, you are going to miss it. Its perhaps the one keeper I have that is here for the duration. Chrome + hand built + Japan = something special. Hope you did well on it.

I did pretty good on it, but it was too small. I'm 6'1" and there was just no way it was going to work out.

Sound like a dealer who is blowing out the junk he can't make a profit on.

Ya, he know's his antiques that's for sure. But he didn't know the first thing about bikes, that I can be sure of. He showed me what he thought was the best bike he had and it was an early 2000s Mongoose mountain bike...

If you're willing to put in the time and research, you may be able to turn a profit, some of those old bikes are worth something to some people. But there's a world of difference between prewar Columbia and 70's Columbia, and I don't know the first thing about them.

With vintage balloon tires, unless it's something crazy rare, it's got to be in great condition to be worth anything. Off-brand bikes and Womens bikes are very hard to move. Judging by the pics, it would be a ton of work and effort with no chance of a payoff.
