I've looked all over for the answer to this. I have a 2000 candy gold XO-1, and I'm interested in putting some 42-45c tires on for a bit of monster cross action. There seems to be quite a bit of room to spare with 700x35 Small Block 8s, just wondering what else will fit?

Just measuring with a ruler, it has 65mm-ish between the seat stays, and 60mm-ish between the fork blades. I assume the wider tires also have a higher profile though, which I guess is my main concern with fit. It would be dope if I could fit 700x50 Big Apples or 29x2.25 tires on this thing.
