Well, I haven't ridden a bike since I was a young teenager (some 25 years ago). I have been a runner for some time, but injuries are forcing me to give it up, so I'm looking at getting into road cycling. I have yet to purchase a bike, but I found this forum, and hope to gain some knowledge here to make some good purchasing decisions. Anyway, I hope to get with a decent group here on the front range of Colorado at some point, once I get established. Thanks for the forum!

Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider.

Figure a budget.

Visit area bike shops and deal with the Friendy Shop.

Welcome to the forums! I'm in Texas now, just like 10 Wheels, but spent plenty of time riding around the Colorado Rockies when I lived in Denver and Idaho Springs a million years ago. There's a lot of people on the boards from Colorado, so you won't be alone. Enjoy bicycling, and remember to ride free!!

Colorado is a great place, so beautiful! If you are near Boulder there's a lot of cool bike shops there on Pearl St. You also might like to visit our regional section here. Welcome to Bike Forums!
