Pacific Northwest - Vancouver Bike Club (great club rides)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A while back, I posted looking for club rides in the Portland/Vancouver area because I was going to be visiting from WI. I hooked up with the Vancouver Bike Club and rode the 2 bridges loop ride and the Tour de friends ride. Both rides were fun and the group members were very friendly. Had a great time.
Thanks

I always want to join their rides whenever I travel down there, but everytime I emailed them for info on certain rides , they never respond back. Are they too good to reply back?

What email address are you sending to? There's been some changes to the site and club contacts- I wonder if something is getting lost.

Jonny Wong- I heard back from the members-at-large/road scholars email contact. I am going to guess that something is getting lost. I will PM you her email address.

Hi Jonny!
Sorry you didn't hear back. You are welcome to e-mail me anytime, I generally reply within 48 hours to all requests. I'm the club president and my e-mail is president@vbc-usa.com.
We try to provide as much information as possible on the ride calendar (start time, place, pace, terrain, ride type, distance, cue sheets, maps) but our ride leaders are not required to list their contact info so they may be hard to reach. I'd recommend just showing up to the ride a few minutes early and introducing yourself to the leader.
Membership is not required to ride, just helmets.
Thanks and happy riding!
Maria

Last Wednesday, I had an opportunity to join the VBC Earth Quake ride (33.4 miles). It was great fun. I hope I can join you guys more often if possible. Bill was very nice and informative. The route was amazing despite the early morning fog... Thanks for the time guys...Love ya!!!
