Classic & Vintage - Best pads for pairing with vintage Dura Ace centerpulls?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I acquired a set of NOS Dura Ace centerpulls for my Miyata 610 (not the canti model, obviously) and want to replace the rock-hard OEM pads they came with. I'm wondering what the best quality replacement would be. I've looked at Kool Stop but am a bit lost in their selection. Any specific favorites? The bike is my daily rider, radonneurer, and my tourer. I ride it everyday in nearly all conditions. I've ridden the past few years with the crappy stock Dia Comp brakes and cheap generic block pads, but would like to get the most out of the upgraded brakes.
Suggest away! Much appreciated.

The salmon color block style offered by Yokozuna USA should work nicely.

I use the z-brake pads with the threaded posts on my Dura-Ace center pulls. I think I have Jagwire pads on my commuter bike. These pads have hemispherical washers that make adjusting toe-in pretty easy. Excellent stopping power.

Pat, where do you source your Yokozuna pads? I'm looking for a set of four for my Centurion project, and the only place I can find the block ones is their own web site, at list price.
I like KoolStop Continentals on my Weinmann 610 c/p's.

Gray or salmon? Both have the same hangtag, can't tell the difference myself.
I think I might give these a shot. Have had good luck with Koolstops in my racing days, and they're plenty cheap.
