Traitor cycles Ruben 56cm framesets are out of stock. So I need you guys to help me find one !I'm located in Canada and the dealers here only do special order (out of stock until february)

Preferably gray color, but I'll consider black too.
It can be a frameset or complete bike, I don't mind.
I'll consider any other 54-56cm CX frameset with disc mounts...

Thanks in advance !

Soma Double Cross DC (http://www.somafab.com/archives/product/double-cross-dc)

The DC is second on my list. I liked the internal cables and rear dropouts of the Ruben. Just checked and SomaFab is not shipping to Canada...

Interior cables on a cross bike ? sounds counterproductive
for something that has to be hosed down , a couple times a race day ..

drop down south and bring stuff back, I hear you got 800$ That you can declare
and bring back from holidays .

Lots of BC shoppers come to Oregon.. New Hampshire is also not a sales tax state.

Is the Gunnar Hyper-x an option?

Well the Hyper-x is 300$ more expensive than the Ruben, and I'm not even sure if fork is included at that price. Nice frame, but I'm on a budget.

Correct - frame only at $975 US I think.

Sounds like Soma is closer to price/performance unless the Ruben shows up.

I'm in Washington and the dealers around the Seattle area are out. I bought mine (a 59cm) from a shop down in Portland a month ago. Hope you find one; I LOVE mine!!

There was one on eBay last week, but the seller wanted to keep the frame in the US. Don't know why...

I saw one on craigslist, but it's a 49.

Have you tried calling or e-mailing Traitor directly? They might be able to help you find a dealer who has one they'd be willing to ship to you. They could at least tell you when new ones will be available.

I already asked Kevin@Traitorcycles and he doesn't seem to know which dealer has Ruben in stock. New ones will be available in February. But in February, there is way too much snow in Quebec city ! I was hoping to find one before the winter...

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that Kona offers all of their bikes as framesets through Kona dealers. The 2013 Jake might fit your needs.

Are 2013 already available ?

Went to my LBS today (Tall tree cycles), and I saw the 2013 Jake disc, 2011 h.o.n.k.y inc. and 2012 Crux disc. Here's my conclusion.
2013 Jake : quite nice for the price 1300$cad, but I really don't like the Kona fonts on it.
h.o.n.k.y inc. : Wow, really impressed but the tire clearance (max 28) is not high enough. Not a CX bike, but stylish at 1100$cad.
2012 Crux disc : No mounts for racks and fenders, and pricey at 2000$cad.

I now have two bikes in mind, first one is the Specialized Secteur sport disc compact. It's Sora equiped, but I would switch it for Sram Rival. 1400$cad, huge tire clearance but not so much of a CX geometry.
Second one is the Kona Rove. 1800$cad, Sram Apex, steel and CX geometry. Green is not my thing but the complete bike seems to be the one that get closer to the Traitor Ruben.

Any thoughts on the Secteur Sport Disc Compact ?

I hadn't heard about discs on the Secteur before. It looks an awful lot like the Volagi Liscio -- probably not an accident. Both that and the Rove have taller head tubes than is usual for CX, but if you're not racing it that's not such a bad thing.

Assuming the Secteur geometry is similar to what it had in 2012, it's not that far off from CX geometry. Looking at stack and reach, I see this:

Kona Jake (53cm): stack = 558, reach = 385
Kona Rove (53 cm): stack = 574, reach = 380
Specialized Secteur (54cm, 2012): stack = 564, reach = 380

The Secteurs tube angles wouldn't be out of the ordinary on a CX bike either.

The chainstays are shorter on the Secteur and the bottom bracket is lower. I guess it depends on what you plan to do with it as to how much that matters.

Personally, I'd get the Jake. (In fact, I did.) Ugliness on a bike encourages you to ride it harder. ;)

Went to LBS yesterday for a test drive. 2013 Rove is ordered. I hope to get it asap!
