I bought a Burley Nomad, at $150 off and free shipping from Amazon I couldn't pass it up. It's really neat. Can somebody explain how I'm supposed to lock this thing up? The whole trailer comes apart in 2 minutes with no tools. Everything is quick release.

Leave a guard dog on it. :)

Something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Kryptonite-720018210610-KryptoFlex-Double-Security/dp/B000NOO3ZQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1345149434&sr=8-2&keywords=bicycle+lock

Pass it through the frame, wheels and the bicycle before you lock it all together?

I like that! I thought I would bike campground to campground with my kids one summer but never got around to it. This would have been useful. I know they'll be flying the coop soon. It's been fun having kids.

I have a 7' Kryptonite cable. The problem is that if I put the cable through the wheel a thief can simply quick release the wheel and take off with the rest of the trailer. If I put it through the frame a thief can pop off the side, top, and wheels and take off with that. The tow bar can not be locked at all. The 7' foot cable doesn't have enough reach to go through both wheels and the frame and still have enough slack to lock it with my u-lock. Even if it did the tow bar, sides, and top could still be stolen very easily. These trailers are very popular here and I guess there would be a market for used parts. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I don't want to walk out of Winco with $150 worth of groceries and the trailer is gone except for one wheel.

Perhaps you should have bought a Burley Travoy instead. The cost of the bags though....:(

Perhaps you need a longer cable.

How about putting loctite on the screws, changing the wheel skewers to non quick release and then only chaining the frame? Or you could carry twovlocks and one chain. One lock for the bike, and one lock and chain for the burley.
