Hello!
Have anyone seen a Fiamme red label 20h + Campagnolo Record Hub (1967) in 20h before ?, i guess it is a experiment/prototype wheel ?

Fun to see, at the time 16 was the minimum spoke count allowed by the UCI for a wheel.
I don't know if that has changed, must have with the low count carbon "spoke" wheels seen racing on the track.
Also a "disc" had to be structural.
There is a guy trying to sell 30 spoke rims on ebay right now, finding a 30 hole hub might be a trick.
In his auction he states that "any good wheel builder" can do it with a 32 hole hub... I have not bothered to figure it out.
maybe a variation of the "crows foot" pattern?
for a 20 one could always use a 40 and skip holes.
Wow, I'm surprised. In an era where 36 hole 3 (or 4) cross was the norm, and 32 hole was for "racers" to run 20 seems outrageous. I have a pair of 28 hole, low flange record hubs laced to Super Champion rims and even they seem exotic.

Very cool. I can only imagine that was for Pursuit races against the clock.

I found a Hi-e 200g rim a couple of days ago. That is one step too far.
More of a custom wheel over a prototype. Hubs could an still can be obtained undrilled. I don't see why not the same for rims. Eyelets are easily put in by hand.

I've never seen a pair of 20H Fiammes, but I did sell a NOS pair of 24H Fiamme reds on eBay a few months ago, still in their original paper wrapper. They had the same mid-60s label as yours.
