Foo - Now what do you supposed he meant by this?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Starting to smoke is a choice. You arent born addicted to smoking. In my opinion smokers are almost as bad as cyclists.

I'm awaiting his answer.

Either way, I say toss the poster into TH and let Toddles and crew have some fun...

I think he is asking for a permaban, all the way to the third or fourth generation of his descendents.

Lacks some context. However, it sounds like he hates cyclists who ride on the road.

Say it isn't so! We're so cuddly and lovable!

Maybe it is a compliment that cyclist are addicted to their sport once they are "hooked" :)

smoke addicts contribute to the tax base the same way cycle addicts do, by buying something they really shouldn't?

Did anyone say he was not allowed an opinion?

Apparently not.

With that said, it's my opinion that I have absolutely no idea what he is trying to portray with his statement. In essence, it appears he has difficulty crafting the English language. And stuff.

Maybe you're already taking this into account, but for anyone who doesn't know it, smokers contribute. Even when their medical expenses are paid by the gov, they don't collect as much pension as the non smokers. It's the people who live longer who are a drain.

Of course that's only for as long as the pensions hold up, then it's everyone for themselves.

Besides, most of the cyclists here choose to smoke magic mushrooms from what I gather.
The guy may have a point of light on his issue.

Maybe we should stop leaving our dirty spokes in the road where people may injure themselves or catch some disease.

What he means is that sucking on a cigerette is like sucking on a bicylist. Both are a choice and both can be addicting.

Captain, my inter-galactic translator seems to be malfunctioning again.

Of course he's allowed an opinion. And if he offers it where we can hear it, we are allowed to have the opinion that he is a blooming idiot.

This was not on this forum at all. It was actually in a thread that I started asking why I had a cigarette lighter in my vehicle yet no ashtray. I made it clear that I didn't smoke, I was just wondering why the manufacturer would do that even though it had two ports for charging devices. This was one of the responses and I just can't tell what he meant by it, that's all. I asked him and he never replied.

Me too. But my friends know why and how my mom passed away. I won't judge them or tell them how to end their life, I just look at them and imagine my mom's suffering all over again.

Can't let your personal experiences cause you to verbally judge friends and associates. You'll just lose friends/assoc. at a very rapid pace and become known as a social "pain in the ass".

We're human and thus all have bad habits.

Wow the entire page actually seemed to be a bunch of foosters acting adult and tolerant about someones opinion when tossed a semi-troll troll thread.

IMO, smokers seem oblivious to the effects their smoke has on others. Bikers, and I have seen a few, can be careless and disregard common sense riding because the law gives them the same access to pavement as petro burners.

Then again, perhaps that occupant in YOUR vehicle suffered brain damage during birth. My question, how did this rider get inside your vehicle. Every vehicle needs an ash tray. You pass it around when ditching high school to get beer money.

I'd bet he knows you are a cyclist and was trying to get your attention.
