We're doing the Mixed 90+ TT and Road race.
We're going to get our butts handed to us, but you got to start somewhere, we're looking at it as a test of how far we've got to improve to reach our goal of being competitve at 110+ in a couple of years. And at least DFL beats DNS.
Anybody else going?

7th 90+ Mixed Tandem Time trial. Caught our one and 2 minute teams, but we're outclassed by the really fast teams.

Kudos to you both.....great Job!
Bill J,
Well done on having a go. What time did you do for the TT? Looking at the results page it seemed that the fastest time was done by a couple of guys in the 110+ bracket, even quicker than the elites! Was there anything note worthy in the bikes the teams were riding? Any extra long tandems allowing the stoker to ride on aero bars behind the captain (like the Hooker)?

1:03. The climbing, and a brutal headwind on the return killed us (according to the Course Profile, and our file in training peaks, 2600 feet, which was high, but whatever it was definitely not flat).
I saw one extralong tandem, believe it was a tiemeyer. Other than that nothing too exotic, mostly just aerobars for Captains, and deep sectined wheels, some trispokes and some discs.
A number of calfees and Paketas.

Looking at all the times, I actually feel better. Bart Bowen, a former world champion, and his partner rode 56:30 in the Men's 90+.
With the climbing (allegedly 2600 feet) and wind it was a slow course. Teams that have done 48 minutes were above 53 minutes yesterday. Doing some rough extrapolation, on a pancake flat Florida course, our time is more like 58 minutes, which would be a team PR.
Our story and we're sticking to it.
