Simple question:
Does the Shimano 5703 crankset use the 74mm bolt circle diameter for the inner chainring, or the non-standard BCD like the new 6703 Ultegra?

Yes, and even the Shimano tech guy in Calif. couldn't explain why.

The truth is out there....
So, since I have 5703 crankset, I should get 5601 chain, not 5701?

Possibly it is but it would be nice if the maker would let us in on it. :rolleyes:
A 5600 or 6600 chain will both work.
