Framebuilders - "NJS" dropout

I would like to now if someone know where I could buy those dropouts. They are suppose to be used on njs track frame.

Will this bike be used in a event that has to pass a NJS inspection? If not there are a number of track drop out sources. Henrey James produces a series of three different rear drop outs in increasing amounts of "tab". So if one is doing a ground up build the drop outs with the shortest tab is used for the slimmest look. But if a refitting is the project the drop out with more or max tab length makes matching up where the stay ends need to be to fit a whole lot easier. Andy.

fixed-gear riders like to have NJS, and who am I to argue? I suppose you are going to have to try to source them in Japan.

Long short story, no this bike will not have to pass the njs inspection, yes I'm totally fan of the njs bike even if I know they are not the best (if you are looking on performance).

Ceeway have some really nice dropout too.

Well, will try to contact a source in Japan and will see.

Will be back with the response for people who eventually have to use those specific dropout.

If you come to your senses, I think Paragon makes some nice track drops and Bikelugs.com has some nice ones if they have them in stock

Yes Paragons makes some really nice dropout too with a big selection.
Ceeway as I said.
Shimano UFP 10 are really nice too but expensive (and hard to find).
Zeus is almost impossible to find expect on ebay and expensive.

Want to say, I don't think that really make sense to pay a lot for those dropout only because they have a name on it. The only criteria for what I could pay a little bit more is the design.

I will try to complete this list for future track frame builder/repair.
Will see what I could find in Japan and how much it cost.

I don't think the frame parts are stamped njs in fact. They are probably approved for njs frame like tubing can but at the end, the njs stamp is suppose to be on the bottom bracket shells not on the frame part. So it should be possible to buy them.

But you right, it should be easy to make.

I tryed to contact track super market to see if it's possible to find somes.
Marinoni in Canada have nice dropout too and not really expensive. I saw them on a Phil Barge frame,...really nice.

Try Kalavinka cycles (http://www.kalavinka-bikes.com/index_j.htm) ("Materials" tab) he has some nice frame ends. As close to NJS as you can get... even has the ones for 8 mm axles.

Yup, thats what I meant.

AFAIK, Because Keirin racing is bet on in Japan, they have a standard
spec to equalize the equipment.

The price looks really cheap for me. I decide to buy a full set (lugs, shell, dropout, etc...) for 2x the price I saw for a pair of 2 Zeus rear dropout on ebay...including shipping to Canada.

Cool. His lugs are really nice with radiussed junctions. I have to buy a set, too, one of these days.
