Cyclocross - Anyone have any experience with the Felt F35X?

I saw this 2009 model bike for sale at the LBS for $1000. Seems like a really nice bike for the money, but there's very little info online about that model. Felt only made it for one year I guess, and is it a little odd that a three year old bike would be for sale new at a shop? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have no experience with that particular bike, but Felt makes great bikes. Many shops will sell leftover bikes at a deep discount once the new models come out, but sometimes things like this happen, and they will have a four year old bike (2013s are out now, or close) around.
If it fits you, and you like it, I would buy it right now. I looked at the specs, and $1k for a nice 105 bike, from Felt, is a steal, IMHO. It doesn't look like it has braze-ons for mounting a rack though, if that is important to you, but I may have just missed them. There are ways to get around that, if you get a little creative.
Very nice looking bike.

Thanks for the opinion! I guess I've been wondering if there could be a story about that particular model, since they only made it in 2009. But it does seem like a great deal. I'm not actually looking to race cyclocross or anything, but just for a good all-around bike that won't be afraid of a little dirt once in a while.

It should be great for that. CX bikes are ideal for that. My Kona Jake (which does have fender and rack mounts, with rack mounted) is great at that for me. As long as it fits, and you like how it rides, let us know how you like it :)

So the Felt was a tad small, but a nice bike. I ended up going with a 2012 Jamis Nova Race, which I'm picking up tomorrow. A very cool bike, and I'd be happy to give impressions after riding it a bit if anyone's curious.
