Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have an old Cannondale H-300 from 1994 which I love, can it be built up into a good touring bike? Frame is aluminum, but the fork is steel. I have heard the frame is excellent but information is spotty.
I have ridden it on 100K rides with no issue. Any info is appreciated

DVanderpoel, You certainly can use it as a touring bike and welcome to the forum. The major differences between the hybrid and the Cannondale touring frame are that the chainstays are about two centemeters shorter (large rear panniers will be closer to your heels and may require test fitting for interference with your heels) and the top tube is longer because of the flat handle bar.
