Classic & Vintage - Is it an Alan or Nishiki

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Trying to find more information on what I have. It has Alan and Nishiki names on carbon frame with alum lugs estimated late 1980’s. Information under frame: “Made in Italy / BREV ALAN / 24 2829 / 3 degree 56x56”. Does anyone know anything about this bike? How do I find its age. The serial # doesn't tell me much.

It's a Nishiki but ALAN built the frame. ALAN supplied frames for a number of other bike manufacturers. Nice Bike.
In a word, "yes".
According to a recent thread by lugged-carbon fan Chombi, (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/816275-Another-Grail-bike-build-1986-Alan-Carbonio!-Finally!) Nishiki sold rebadged Alan Carbonios in 1986.
I'd snap up one of these in a hot minute.

Suhweet! I would badge it again as an ALAN, but don't mind me, I'm the resident alan apologetic.
