Hi I am trying to identify this frame which i bought on ebay.
It is a lugless frame, long horizontal dropouts and pencil seat stays, lamp bracket, pump pegs but they are different shapes, one round and one. Serial number on steering column and Near side rear drop out appears to be 4668899 or 4608899.
I know the frame had all GB parts which were sold seperately but can'd find anything with similar frame number. Headset and BB seem to be new additions but the crank might be original as TDC.
Any help in identifying it is appreciated.

I can't help you on which frame it is, but is that a seat post cut off right down to the frame that I see?

Wasn't cut right down but completely seized in so been cutting it out gradually a strip at a time.

Don't know who built it, but it certainly looks British. The lamp mount on the right fork blade is designed for riding on the left side of the road.
Try measuring the dropout slots, what kind of axle can they take? The fork looks like it has the remains of a 531 sticker. It certainly is not a Raleigh, and given the difficulty with the construction method, it's sounds like one of the smaller marques.
What kind of headset does it have, a clip type would suggest a pre 60s machine.
Does it have a BB oil fitting? That would also suggest a pre-60s machine.

Hi ok i'll measure that. I don't think the headset is original nor the bb cups but the crank is a TDC. No oil fitting, it's the first bike i've bought without one weirdly. I thought the lamp bracket would put it in the 50s/60s category. Apparently was fitted out with all GB parts, Maes bars hiduminium etc but no other information.
