For christmas I got some 2004 Dainese MX body armour, exactly the same as the MTB armour on more padding under the shells and it's lighter material where there is no roost pads or plates.

Any way I was out riding yesterday and whent to a friends house. He took me to a place where he had built some drops and stuff. Well I was warming up and did a couple of small drops, about 4foot. I was working my way up to the big 10-12 footer. On the 7footer I had my first crash in my body armour. The problem was that it has a blind landing. So when I hit it I had to turn a bit just befor take off and while in the air I lost balance. I ended up missing the landing and landed in rocks about the size of tennis balls and footballs. I nearly rough rode it out, but then I saw the camera guy right infront of me and bailed.

The armour saved my arms, but my wrists are still killing me.

I have the video on my computer, but I don't know where to get it hosted so I can post it. The vid is 1.57mb.

Here are some photos of my body armour.

It isn't the size which made me want to use it, it was the fact that it was to a blind landing and there were lots of rocks.

I spected the drop when he did it not that it means mutch but yeah... He did nearly ride it out was pretty FUC^*NG funny. Boady armour is FUC%ing awsome, makes you feel so much more confedint. I had a stack on the same day on a dh track and I landed in rocks didnt hurt(bloody rocks put some holes in my jersey:mad:) , got up re-aligned my headstem and was going again....

I think i have had 3 stacks with armour and none have been very painful if they have been at all! But without the armour some of the stacks would be super painful.

I always ride DH with armour, no matter the temperature....
